SERRA GROSSA
When I wrote this article, I just had climbed the mountain of San Julian and from there I climbed the mountain of Serra Grossa. There were some steep and rocky parts and after I reached the highest point, I found the easier climb on my way back. So the video under includes the steep part, but I suggest to start the hike on the pin point, Calle del Obispo Oliver Domingo, at the parking La Goteta – Plaza Mar 2.
I must say, climbing the Serra Grossa from San Julian gives you a magnificent view on the water deposit.
If you take the steep route, make sure you are wearing the right shoes, for enough grip.
The highest point is 176 meters and has a beautiful panoramic view, with on one side Alicante harbor, the mountain of San Julian and the Castillo Santa Barbara. And on the other side the skyline of San Juan.
The highest point is a large flat area where you can walk towards San Juan. We did not want to take the same steep path back and started walking towards the end when we found the easier climb up.
On the way back we saw some wall climbers.
